The Blue Badge is coming! Environment Minister Special Conference decided the introduction in Germany!

At a special conference of Environment Ministers on 04.07.2016 the introduction of the Blue Badge was decided!
The Euro 6 badge or nitrogen oxide badge, should be introduced as soon as possible, at the latest in 2017. The corresponding necessary regulation which comes into force later this year, is almost complete.

The Special Conference of Environment Ministers decided on 07 April 2016 that the Blue Badge (nitrogen oxide badge) is to be introduced. For this to happen it is decided that smaller environmental zones are to be created in existing environmental zones in which only allowed vehicles to enter that bear the Blue Badge, according to the ideas of the Minister. Who then already has a blue badge, is no longer required to wear the Green Badge (Green Energy label).
Environment Secretary Flasbarth has spoken on the evening of 04/07/2016 after the Special Conference of Environment Ministers of the federal states, since the subject nitrogen oxides becomes pressing in the wake of the VW scandal. In his opinion, almost all the necessary preparations for the introduction of the badge and the special environmental zones are as good as finished. The early implementation is good to go. An introduction yet in 2016 is like.

This looks according to the opinion of Green-Zones.eu like an introduction by the end of 2016!
Special focus is on the city's of Berlin, Köln, Aachen, Düsseldorf, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Frankfurt am Main, Stuttgart, München and Darmstadt. The senat of Berlin has adopted the proposal but the starting date is not known yet.The city's of Munich, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden will probably implement the new measures as soon they can enforce them.

Affected are all diesel vehicle owners be the way that do not meet the exhaust gas standard Euro 6 (NOx max. 80 mg / km). This would impact more than 13 million diesel vehicles. Only about 500,000 vehicles currently meet the Euro 6 norm requirements and they would consequently receive the blue badge instantly. These are mainly (but not all!) of the vehicles that are newly registered in 2015. Gasoline vehicles meet in almost every case, the Euro 6 standard.

Of course, the Blue Badge will be on sale here in our shop end of 2016. We will inform you in time! Actual informations in German and English here.

Green Zones:

With its websites www.green-zones.eu, www.umwelt-plakette.de, www.umwelt-pickerl.at and www.ecosticker.dk, Green Zones provides information on the topics of fine particles, the environment and the subsequent increasing traffic restrictions in European countries due to the establishment of environmental zones.

Given the fact that such information is provided neither in a central nor, in our opinion, in a sufficient way by public authorities in Europe and the respective countries, we inform hereto for free on our websites.

We cover our expenditures and staff expenses as well as the substantial costs related to the maintenance of up to 35 different foreign websites with the purchase of environmental badges for private persons and enterprises. These are at the moment the German Umweltplakette, the Austrian Umweltpickerl and the Danish Ecosticker (domestic or foreign car needs these environmental badges for driving within the respective designated zones in these countries). Further national badges will follow in the next years, example like the Blue Badge (Nitrogen Oxide Badge) in Germany or environmental zones in France or Czechia.

Emissionshändler.com:

Through the websites www.emissionshaendler.com and www.handel-emisjami.pl, Emissionshändler.com is working in the areas of the compulsory emissions trading in Poland, Germany and Austria. Since December 2005, Emissionshändler.com deals with CO2-certificates/emissions rights (purchase, sale and exchange) for companies at various energy stock exchanges in Europe as well as via bilateral trade.

Climate Company:

Climate Company, with its website www.climate-company.de, buys and compensates CO2-emission rights for private persons and companies that are not taking part to the compulsory emission trading system of the European Union.

Climate Company provides information about climate change, climate protection and CO2-free car driving (so-called CO2-compensation). Furthermore, Climate Company offers for private persons the purchase of climate gifts and climate neutrality. In this way, every individual can take an active part in the European trading system for emission rights or get involved in international projects for climate protection – in any case, do something for our climate and our future.
